Blakedown Bolt 10k – 23 June 2017

This is a very popular Friday evening race which is now in its 11th year.  The route is scenic and varied with a few hills and stiles and passes between Forge Pool and Ladies Pool.  Apart from some very short sections on quiet country lanes, the course is entirely traffic free running through beautiful Worcestershire countryside, through farmland and woodland, taking in Mount Segg as well as a stream crossing at 7k before returning to the start/finish area.  The men’s course record was broken by Nick Hardy in a time of 36:09.

Malvern Joggers were represented by Julie Caseley finishing in a time of 56:24, followed by Alison Priest (56:31), Mike Anstey (1:05:06) and Lynda Broadway (1:07:21).
