This Thursday night race, organised by Evesham Running Club, was run in mild and dry conditions but due to the heavy rain over the previous few days, the course was extemely muddy. The race started in front of Elmley Castle Cricket Club where the HQ was, and the route went along the road for approximately 600m before turning right to cross fields at the bottom of Bredon Hill. Before the first mile was over, runners started the long climb to the top of the hill, along a flat top section to the tower before turning in a short loop and retracing their steps back to the start.
Ian Walwyn (1st MV60) and Julie Caseley (4th female and 1st FV55) both won their age categories in a time of 53:45 and 56:31 respectively. First Malvern Jogger home was Trevor Matty in a time of 50:20 followed by Steve Roode (53:36), Ian Walwyn (53:45), Julie Caseley (56:31) and Amanda Duncan (1:03:30).
