Broadway Tower Charity Run – 24 May 2017

This friendly evening race was run in perfect, warm conditions and raising money for the Worcestershire Breast Care Haven.  This event started and finished a short walk from race HQ on a dirt track and was, for the first time this year, chip timed.  The run was along bridleways, footpaths and through fields with a 2 mile run uphill to Broadway Tower then back downhill to the start/finish gantry.  This event was well supported by many local running clubs and formed part of Malvern Joggers Champions League.  This was a superbly organised event with enthusiastic, friendly marshals, efficiant timekeeping and prize presentation.

First Jogger home was Matthew Lancett in a time of 44:15 followed by Ben Toon (44:16), Steve Keepax (45:39), Martin Reed-Darby (45:50), Nic Dauncey (45:55), Ian Walwyn (46:06), Steve Roode (46:50), Paul Newman (47:42), John Bryan (48:41), Julie Caseley (49:09 – winning the 1st FV55 trophy), Claire Haynes (49:51), Jason Protheroe (50:21), Amanda Duncan (51:30), Alison Priest (51:35), Mark Dillon (52:59), Rhian Protheroe (54:19), David Brett (57:07), Vivien Tolley (57:39) and Steve Massey (58:58).
