This was an evening 5 mile charity race raising money for the Worcestershire Breast Care Haven. It was a cool evening and there was about a 10 min walk from race HQ to the start on a track just off the main road. The run was along bridleways, footpaths and through fields with a 1.5 mile uphill run to Broadway Tower then back downhill to the start/finish area. This event, which raised £2500 for the charity, was superbly organised with enthusiastic, friendly marshals, efficient timekeeping and prize presentation.
Two of the Malvern Joggers won their age categories – Julie Caseley (FV55) in a time of 44:54 and Ian Walwyn (MV60) in a time of 42:47. The first Malvern Jogger home was Trevor Matty in a time of 40:07 followed by Megan Judge (40:10), John Bryan (42:51), Emily Priest (43:49), Deborah Parker (44:40), Steve Roode (45:25), Alison Priest (45:30), Glyn Davies (48:24), Amanda Duncan (49:30), Mark Dillon (49:47), Mike Spragg (50:18), Claire Haynes (51:24), Dave Brett (52:02) and Charly Lowndes (57:05).
