11 Malvern Joggers went to Bromyard for their 49th annual 4.2 mile Round the Downs Road Race which attracted an entry of 45 runners this year and forms part of the Bromyard Gala weekend. The race began at the Post Office and was started by the town crier, Peder Nielson. The course quickly joined the A44, then uphill for the next mile or so before turning left across the Bromyard Downs before returning downhill to the start/finish outside the Post Office in Bromyard. All prize winners received a certificate presented by the Mayor of Bromyard, Cllr Fred Clark, which entitled them to free entry into the 2016 Bromyard Gala.
First Malvern Jogger home was Neil Watts in a time of 27:52 followed by Megan Judge (29:53 – 1st Open Female), Matthew Lancett (30:31), Ian Walwyn (32:09 – 3rd Male Super Vet), Paul Newman (33:02), Alison Priest (33:28 – 1st Vet Female), Paul Webb (34:04), Steve Roode (34:19), Julie Caseley (34:34 – 3rd Vet Female), Amanda Duncan (36:32 – 2nd Open Female) and Chris Barker (39:50).
