25 Malvern Joggers ventured over to Bromyard for their annual 4.2 mile Round the Downs Road Race which attracted a record entry this year. This race forms part of the Bromyard Gala weekend. The race began by the Post Office in Bromyard and was started by the town crier, Peder Nelson. The course went downhill before joining the A44, then uphill for the next mile or so. The route then turned left across the Bromyard Downs before returning downhill via the B4203 to the start/finish outside the Post Office.
Malvern Joggers were lead home by Jon Newey (25:11) who was 1st Male Vet and won the Round the Downs Trophy. He was followed by Henry Walker (2nd Open Male 25:58), Ben Toon (28:14) , Megan Judge (1st Open Female 30:23), Trevor Matty (3rd Male Vet 30:54), Ian Walwyn (2nd Male Super Vet 31:47)), Paul Webb (32:47), John Bryan (32:55), Mark Cooling (33:34), Ewelina Skolimowska (2nd Open Female 33:46), Julie Caseley (1st Female Vet 34:44), Andrew Gallagher (34:53), Amanda Duncan (2nd Female Vet 34:54), Alison Priest (3rd Female Vet 35:16), Chris Jolley (35:47), Suzie Lane (35:50), Glyn Davies (36:11), Steve Roode (36:15), Mike Anstey (37:08), Emily Priest (3rd Open Female 37:41), Mike Spragg (38:13), Julia Heron (39:09), Lucy Gallagher (39:09), Lynda Broadway (40:06), Vivien Tolley (40:55) and Charly Lowndes (46:16).
All prize winners received a certificate presented by the Mayor of Bromyard which entitled them to free entry into the 2015 Bromyard Gala
