Timberhonger 10k – 1 July 2017

This was the 15th anniversary of the Timberhonger 10k and 7 Malvern Joggers travelled to Bromsgrove on a very warm afternoon to support this event organised by Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletic Club.

This popular, challenging, undulating 10k race started from the back field of Sanders Park on closed roads down Timberhonger Lane for 3km with two 2km laps around Berry Lane and New House Lane before returning up Timberhonger Lane and the finish in Sanders Park.  

All profits from the race were divided between 4 local charities.

First Jogger home was Jon Newey in a time of 37:39 followed by Nic Dauncey (45:40), Steve Roode, (49:07), John Bryan (49:59), Julie Caseley (52:17 winning her age category and a trophy), Rhian Protheroe (54:45) and Vivien Tolley (1:03:10).

 

Timberhonger 10k – Places filling up quickly

Entries are coming in quickly for the Timberhonger 10k and the race is already over a third full. We’ve increased the number of places to 650 but it is likely to sell out before race day so please enter early to guarantee your place.

This year’s race will be on the evening of Saturday 1st July, part of Bromsgrove Carnival weekend. You can enter online or download an entry form from the race website www.timberhonger10k.co.uk.

There will be lots of Carnival fun on the day, big crowds to cheer you on and there is a brand new Timberhonger medal for every runner waiting for you at the finish.

Timberhonger 10k, Bromsgrove – 9 July 2016

Seven Malvern Joggers took part in this challenging, undulating race on the same evening as the Bromsgrove Carnival and is organised by Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletic Club.

This popular 10k race started from the back field of Sanders Park on closed roads down Timberhonger Lane for 3km with two 2km loops around Berry Lane and New House Lane before returning up Timberhonger Lane and the finish in Sanders Park.

All profits from the race were divided between 3 local charities.

First Jogger home was John Bryan in a time of 48:09 followed by Ian Walwyn (49:34), Alison Priest (50:24), Julie Caseley (50:50), Paul Webb (51:05), Steve Roode (52:27) and Charly Lowndes (1:01:24).
