With only 2 weeks to go before I take part in my 6th London Marathon, I travelled to North Solihull for the last in a series of 6 Centurion Grand Prix 5 mile races on a flat and fast course organised by the Centurion Running Club. The race started about 5 minutes walk from the race HQ at John Henry Newman Catholic College. The course was one small lap followed by 2 large laps on firm tracks and although it was a dry and fairly mild day, the race was made more challenging by the windy conditions that runners faced on every lap. There were 98 participants and I finished in 40:41 coming 2nd in my age category and winning a cash prize. Regards, Julie
