This very popular chip timed 8.8 mile race saw 267 runners tackle this challenging course in sunny, warm conditions. 19 Malvern Joggers entered this multi-terrain race that started and finished at Burghill CP School. The route took runners through orchards, woodland trails and country lanes as well as encountering styles, kissing gates and the 105 step woodland climb up the ‘crocodile’s back’ at about 4 miles.
Julie Caseley won her age category (FV55) in a time of 1:23:30. This was a Malvern Joggers Champions League race and their runners were led home by Hugh Davies in a time of 1:02:39, followed by Sam Burnage (1:07:57), Trevor Matty (1:15:01), Mark Seyler (1:21:12), Matthew Lancett (1:21:27), Ian Walwyn (1:21:27), Ian Dyson (1:21:34), Julie Caseley (1:23:30), Emily Priest (1:24:14), Deborah Parker (1:24:57), Alison Priest (1:25:36), Steve Roode (1:28:54), Paul Webb (1:29:53), Mark Dillon (1:35:53), Glyn Davies (1:36:51), Julia Heron (1:37:01), David Lynch (1:38:39), Amanda Duncan (1:39:12) and Shona Toon (1:46:46).
