Dorstone Dawdle – 2 July 2017

This was the 5th anniversary of this multi-terrain almost 10k starting and finishing in the village of Dorstone which lies at the head of Herefordshire’s beautiful Golden Valley just 4 miles from the famous Welsh border town of Hay-on-Wye.  This was a challenging hilly route up Snodhill mainly along quiet country lanes with some off road woodland paths, stony tracks and steep descents.

10 Malvern Joggers travelled the hour to Dorstone to take part in this Champions League event.  The race was won by Matt Scriven (Mercia Fell Runners) in a time of 39:50 but first Jogger home and 3rd overall was Nic Dauncey in a time of 43:31 followed by Matthew Lancett (47:40), Ben Toon (48:01), Steve Roode (51:14), Ian Walwyn (51:55), Mike Bolton (53:06), Alison Priest (54:14), Julie Caseley (54:19), Rhian Protheroe (1:01:55) and Vivien Tolley (1:06:30).

Malvern Joggers won the team prize.
