Great South Run – 23 October 2016

Nearly 25,000 runners took part in the 26th running of this iconic 10 mile Great South Run, in near perfect conditions, starting and finishing on the seafront at Southsea.  The fast and flat course headed towards Portsmouth with the Spinnaker Tower ahead and through Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard, passing the Mary Rose Museum and HMS Victory.  There were live bands and music along the course to keep the runners motivated and the enthusiastic spectators entertained before the final 2 mile run along the esplanade past South Pier and the Pyramids Centre Leisure Complex to the finish.

All runners received a finishers technical t-shirt, goody bag and medal.  Malvern Joggers competing were Julie Caseley (1:21:08) and Andrew Brown (1:23:14).
