Three Malvern Joggers and a member of Malvern Triathlon Club went across the border to Monmouth for the Kymin Dash organised by the Spirit of Monmouth Running Club. The Kymin Dash, in the 3rd year of the current course, is a challenging and very scenic 7 mile race up to the top of the Kymin above Monmouth and back down on a long scenic loop of the Wye Valley. The course starts with a 2 mile ascent to the Round House, a local viewpoint at around 850ft, and the whole route is mainly on tarmac and forest roads and finishes with a 2 mile long, flat finish along Hadnock Road which runs parallel to the River Wye and into the finish at the Monmouth School Sports Club. Any profits generated were donated to Action Duchenne. This race gave the Malvern Joggers a last minute fitness test before the London Marathon on 26 April.
