Citizens Advice South Worcestershire (CASW)
During 2018 CASW dealt with over 7000 local issues from debt, housing, benefit issues right up to bankruptcy and family court cases; we make a real difference to peoples lives and ensure that our services are varied, impartial and free. As you probably also know, we are a small charity and as most people only think of us when they are in crisis, we struggle to get regular income to maintain our services so organisations like yours that choose to support us make a huge difference. This year Citizens Advice is 80 years old, having been set up during times of hardship and conflict to try and help people with little or no support elsewhere. To celebrate, we are hoping to work with local partners to hold 80 fundraising events culminating in a Grand Charity Ball on the 9th November; firstly to raise money, but also to raise awareness of our financial struggles and our ability to help those when they are most in need.
