The Scenic Six on Sunday was sunny and cool – a good running day. I had not done this one before, and rather wished that I had brought cross-country shoes. However, apart from a gateway or two the going was firm. A mass warm-up got us twitching our glutes and getting in the mood. The many marshals were cheerful, especially the bloke doing the Grand National style commentary. The route is two laps made up of loops over the fields, with gentle slopes rather than any hills as we know them in Malvern. It was all in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.
