19 Malvern Joggers travelled to the picturesque village of Upton Bishop for this lovely, scenic race run on quiet country roads. This was the 2nd year the Upton Bishop Big Dipper was run in its current form as a 10k as opposed to the previous 5.6 miles. The undulations and hills were still there along with some sweeping downhill sections too. All 66 runners were rewarded with a medal and piece of cake at the finish.
Malvern Joggers were led home by Jon Newey in a time of 38:36 and was first male vet 40, followed by Trevor Matty (45:16), Ben Toon (45:26), Megan Judge (46:45) who was 2nd lady overall, Matthew Lancett (47:12), Julie Mitchell (48:04) who was 3rd lady overall, Peter Wilson (49:40), Jerry Greer (50:19), Steve Roode (50:33), Mark Cooling (51:15), Julie Caseley (51:57) who was 1st female vet 50, Alison Priest (52:10), Chris Jolley (54:31), Amanda Duncan (55:15), Glyn Davies (55:24), Mike Anstey (58:44), Lynda Broadway (1:00:18), Sarah Lane (1:00:59) and Vivien Tolley 1:02:44).
The Ladies Team Prize was won by Malvern Joggers made up of Megan Judge, Julie Mitchell and Julie Caseley.
Josh Toon from Malvern Jogger Juniors won the Under 8 boys race.
